Staging not only results in a quicker sale but also tends to increase the home’s value too, according to the newly released 2019 Profile of Home Staging report conducted by the National Association of REALTORS®. One quarter of buyers’ agents say that staging a home increased the dollar value of a home between 1 to 5 percent compared to similar homes on the market that weren’t staged. Seventeen percent of agents said that staging increased the home’s dollar value between six to 10 percent.
Which rooms are the most important to focus on in the house?
Staging the living room was found to be the most important for buyers (47 percent), followed by staging the master bedroom (42 percent) and staging the kitchen (35 percent). For inspiration on sprucing up the master bedroom, view our slideshow: How I Staged It: The Makings of a Master Retreat
The least important area to stage? The guest bedroom, according to buyer agents. Only 8 percent of buyer agents said it was “very important” to stage a guest bedroom in the home.

Today's beauty tip is an ingredient that has been used for decades to improve the skin's texture, appearance and tone. The ingredient is widely used in many beauty products and basically sells itself. What is it? Retinol.
The Gold Standard in many dermatologists offices and spas around the world as well as for at-home use. Let's take a closer look at what Retinol can do for the skin.
Retinoids are a derivative of Vitamin A which is useful in the human body beyond skincare but can also be fatal if too much is injected (and harmful to an unborn baby). Retinoids go deep into the cellular level and not only exfoliate the skin but also aid in regenerating skin cells. It takes up to 12 weeks to see the effects of retinol use, and in that time, there will be peeling and redness as the cells are turning over. Although many believe that using retinol will increase your exposure and harmful effects of UV rays, on the contrary retinol has been proven to prevent the rise of collagenase - the enzyme that breaks down collagen - after UV exposure. That being said, it is always a good idea to incorporate an SPF product into your skincare routine (whether using retinoids or not).
Lastly, the best way to use retinol is in conjunction with other skincare products over a lifetime. Johnson & Johnson recently completed a trial demonstrating that over-the-counter retinol smooths wrinkles and fades blotches over 12 months.
Have you had experience using Retinol (good or bad) that you'd like to share? Post in the comments!

I was first introduced to yoga in college; since I was pregnant and could not do physical sports such as basketball or volleyball for an extracurricular credit, the only other option was to take the daily yoga class. I had no previous experience in doing yoga and honestly I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise after a few weeks of yoga, I really started to enjoy it! I liked how yoga helped me relax and the more I practiced yoga, the more I felt at peace with myself and my body.
Throughout the years after college, I practiced yoga on and off but never took it very seriously. I'd either take a random class at the gym to switch up my exercise routine or give myself a quick moment of relaxation at home. I recently started a new yoga journey and this time around my goal is to focus on being able to do all of the positions with ease by simply SLOWING DOWN - slowing down my breath, slowing down my poses, slowing down my mental processes. I know this will take some time and a lot of practice. One of the most amazing things that yoga has taught me is to slow down in life - to savor each and every moment. My focus for the next two weeks is strengthening the core muscles by concentrating on the abs. Every two weeks, I'll change my focus to a new area of the body and as always end my yoga sessions with Shavasana - the ultimate relaxation pose.
I will keep you updated on my progress and learnings along the way. My hope is that I can inspire others to start on a yoga journey for themselves, or even just start the journey to deeper self awareness and mindfulness.
Over the years, I have spent an extensive amount of time researching and experimenting with different kinds and brands of skincare products and anti-aging creams. This has not been to prevent the natural aging process to occur but rather to enhance the beauty of aging in a graceful manner. In my opinion, the best way to age gracefully is to allow it to occur naturally, while at the same time, encouraging a continual growth process to take place with the use of serums, creams, acids, laser treatments, derma needling, and deep tissue massage.
Below are a few of the products I like to use as well as some that I'll list without an advertisement only because I love them and they do not need to be advertised! In my Beauty Blog, I get more in depth with the specific beauty regimen routines I believe are fundamental for renewal of the skin.

Our stores, while modern in every way, are reminiscent of traditional neighborhood apothecaries: brimming with activity, wonderful treatments and great customer service."

Working at a cellular level, Vilact® can undo years worth of damage and leave your skin feeling stronger, healthier and refreshed."

Founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1988, Gaiam is a provider of information, goods and services to customers who value the environment, a sustainable economy, healthy lifestyles, alternative healthcare and personal development.
Gaiam (pronounced "guy-um"), is a fusion of the words "Gaia" and "I am" Gaia, mother Earth, was honored on the Isle of Crete in ancient Greece 5,000 years ago by the Minoan civilization. This civilization valued education, art, science, recreation, and the environment and believed that the Earth was directly connected to its existence and daily life. The concept of Gaia stems from the ancient philosophy that the Earth is a living entity.
At Gaiam, we believe that all of the Earth's living matter, air, oceans and land form an interconnected system that can be seen as a single entity. The word Gaiam represents planetary awareness, preservation and support of the interconnectivity of all living things. By nurturing, protecting and respecting our planet, its natural resources and its inhabitants, we enrich our own lives and those of future generations.

These are small bottles of liquid high-potency, Pure Hemp Oil, sometimes called tinctures, that you take by dropping ½ dropper full of oil under your tongue once in the morning and once again in the evening. There are 50 servings of Premium Hemp Oil per bottle. The 4 different potencies are 300mg, 500mg, 750mg and 1500mg. You take the same amount regardless of which one you’re using, it’s just some are more potent than others.
➢ The 300mg drops are for those looking to maintain optimal health. ➢ The 500mg drops are for those looking for a slightly higher-level CBD oil to stimulate optimal health. ➢ The 750mg drops are for those looking for even a higher-level of CBD oil to maintain healthy immune function. ➢ The 1500mg drops are the highest level of CBD oil to support the body’s antiviral and natural healing capabilities.
All 4 potencies are naturally flavored with peppermint, so they taste great! They are all made from Non-GMO, Pesticide Free, CO2 Extracted Hemp Oil using only organic ingredients. And like all our products, they’re manufactured in the USA in a registered GMP, cruelty-free facility.
